How does it work?
To securely accept contactless payments, a merchant downloads an app to their mobile device. This allows their device to function as a point-of-sale device without specialized hardware. Then, a cardholder taps their contactless card, digital wallet or wearable on the merchant’s mobile device to complete the transaction.
